I agree ap. Keep the depression out. Keep the violet crumbles in (and advertise evidence of their consumption - just to make the separation absolutely clear).
That's the annoying thing about Big Metal Obstructions - it's so hard to shnoofle them out of the way (or poison them) after everyone's gone home.
